Indonesian business group plans to invest and establish a family office in Hong Kong during their visit to Hong Kong

As one of the main business organizations in Indonesia, the Indonesian Employers Association (APINDO) met with the Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Li Jiachao, on the 17th to understand the investment environment in Hong Kong. It is understood that there are many representatives of Indonesian family foundations in the visiting delegation of the Indonesian Employers Association to Hong Kong, and they are actively considering setting up a family office in Hong Kong. Several members expressed interest in high-tech and artificial intelligence projects and hope to collaborate with Hong Kong to jointly bring high-tech from the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area to Indonesia. Several powerful family conglomerates in Indonesia are actively considering setting up family offices in Hong Kong and expanding into the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area market through Hong Kong, particularly investing in high-tech and artificial intelligence fields. Sinta stated that the visit of the Indonesian Employers Association is a response to Li Jiachao's visit to Indonesia last year, in order to promote economic and trade relations between the two regions. She said she is pleased to learn that the Hong Kong SAR government is providing convenience and connectivity for Indonesian businesses to enter Hong Kong and mainland China.
