At 8 o'clock in the evening, fireworks with the words "HK" and the shape of "smiling faces" were set against the starry sky, emitting a dazzling light. The entire fireworks and Victoria Harbour night scene complement each other, accompanied by the "Fantastic Song of the River" lighting and music performance. The dazzling lights, music, and fireworks blend together, and citizens and passengers raise their phones to capture the beautiful moment and enjoy this visual feast together. The entire fireworks display was distributed by a pontoon 130 meters offshore, with golden fireworks continuously scattered, like shooting stars falling into the mortal world, reflecting on the sea, showcasing the romance of Hong Kong. Despite the continuous rain on that day, many citizens and tourists still searched nearby for suitable viewing spots three hours before the fireworks display. Ms. Lu from Guangdong said that she has watched many videos of Hong Kong fireworks performances online before and is very looking forward to it. "I will be staying in Hong Kong for 4 days this holiday, and the most anticipated part of the entire trip is today's fireworks. The Hong Kong industry believes that fireworks performances can help drive restaurant business and foot traffic.". In order to complement the fireworks display, the sea view restaurants on both sides of Victoria Harbour have launched the "May Day Fireworks Package", and some cruise companies have also launched sea buffet dinners and fireworks display packages. Legislative Council member of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Cheung Yu jen, expressed his belief that the fireworks display can benefit restaurants on both sides of Victoria Harbour, and business is better than in previous years. The Immigration Department of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government estimates that from April 30th to May 5th, approximately 5.9 million people will enter and exit Hong Kong through various sea, land, and air traffic control stations, with over 800000 of them being mainland passengers.
