On April 30, the "Fifth China Central and Eastern Europe High end Think Tank Scholars Exchange Forum: Jointly Building the the Belt and Road and Modernization Development", co sponsored by the Scientific Research Planning Department of the Central Party History and Literature Institute, the Xinhua News Agency Institute and the Serbian Institute of International Politics and Economics, was successfully held in Serbia, with more than 50 experts from China, Serbia, Romania, Poland, Croatia and other countries participating in the forum. Ji Zhengju, Vice President of the Central Institute of Party History and Documentation and Director of the Central Compilation and Translation Bureau, pointed out in his keynote speech that China and Central and Eastern European countries have achieved fruitful results in jointly building the "the Belt and Road", which has set an example for the international community to work together to promote modernization. Yulia Monica, a Romanian scholar, believes that the joint construction of the "the Belt and Road" can provide opportunities for participating countries to promote modernization and is conducive to world peace and development. The first China Central and Eastern European High end Think Tank Scholar Exchange Forum was successfully held in 2016. This mechanism is jointly established by multiple Central and Eastern European think tanks led by the National High end Think Tank of the Central Party History and Literature Research Institute, and has played a positive role in promoting the exchange of ideas and consensus among Chinese and Central and Eastern European think tank scholars.
