A new direct route from Zhoushan to Chongqing Jianghai has opened

On May 8, 2024, the Jianghai direct ship "Chuangxin 5", loaded with 5400 tons of grain, set sail from Laotangshan Port in Zhoushan, Ningbo and headed to Xintian Port in Wanzhou, Chongqing, opening a new river sea direct route from Zhoushan to Chongqing. This also means that river sea direct ships will historically advance into the hinterland of the upper reaches of the Yangtze River, opening the most direct route from the Yangtze River to the sea in China.
