The 6th Ministerial Conference of the China Portuguese Speaking Countries Forum on Economic and Trade Cooperation (Macau) will be held in Macau from April 21 to 23, 2024. The main activities of this ministerial conference include the opening ceremony, ministerial meeting, signing ceremony of the Action Plan for Economic and Trade Cooperation (2024-2027), and the China Portuguese Speaking Countries Entrepreneurs Conference. The ministerial meeting will clarify the key areas of economic and trade cooperation between China and Portuguese speaking countries in the next three years, and further leverage Macao's role as a service platform for commercial cooperation between China and Portuguese speaking countries. The China Portugal Forum was founded in Macao in October 2003. It was hosted by the Central People's Government of China (Ministry of Commerce) and hosted by the Government of the Macao Special Administrative Region. Nine Portuguese speaking countries, Angola, Brazil, Cape Verde, Guinea Bissau, Equatorial Guinea, Mozambique, Portugal,  Sao Tome and Principe and Timor Leste, participated in the Forum. Since its establishment, the China Portugal Forum has successfully held five ministerial level meetings and one special ministerial level meeting, promoting the continuous improvement of cooperation between China and Portuguese speaking countries in areas such as intergovernmental cooperation, trade and investment, industrial cooperation, development cooperation, human resources, healthcare, education and culture. It has also brought opportunities for Macao to build a service platform for commercial cooperation between China and Portuguese speaking countries, and promote moderate and diversified economic development.
