Do you think it's cervical spondylosis if you have a foreign body sensation in your throat

I always feel uncomfortable with something stuck in my throat, with symptoms ranging from mild to severe, and sometimes even neck pain... Do you think this may be caused by cervical problems? My throat discomfort was cured by the pain department. In the outpatient department, I encountered a patient who had been seeking medical attention multiple times due to a persistent foreign body sensation in the throat for three months. However, no abnormalities were found in the examination and the medication effect was not satisfactory. Finally, I was referred to the pain department for treatment. This patient often feels discomfort in the throat, such as phlegm but unable to cough. The symptoms may be mild to severe, and there may be neck soreness. Physical examination: Bilateral neck and back muscles are tense, anterior, middle and posterior scalene muscles are tense and tender, and neck flexion and lateral flexion are restricted. Consider pharyngeal symptoms caused by cervical issues. After treating cervical vertebrae in the pain department, the symptoms improved significantly. Why is there a foreign body sensation when there is nothing in the throat? Pharyngeal foreign body sensation is a symptom of sensory and motor dysfunction in the pharynx, such as bulging sensation, itching sensation, urgency, adhesion sensation, burning sensation, mosquito like sensation, or feeling that there is a foreign body in the throat, which cannot be coughed out or swallowed. Any damage to the pharynx and adjacent organs or various stimuli to the pharynx nerves can be induced. Why is there a sensation of foreign body in the throat? The pharyngeal nerves are highly innervated, and the sensory and motor nerves mainly come from the pharyngeal plexus of the posterior wall of the pharynx, which contains branches of the vagus nerve, glossopharyngeal nerve, accessory nerve, and parasympathetic nerve. Therefore, the pharyngeal sensation is extremely sensitive. Diseases of many organs throughout the body can also cause abnormal sensations in the pharynx through the reflex and conduction of nerves. The mechanism of pharyngeal foreign body sensation is relatively complex, and there are many pathogenic factors that can be caused by various diseases. When the symptoms of bowing the head worsen, it is considered that cervical spondylosis can cause pharyngitis, which has similar but different symptoms compared to ordinary pharyngitis. The pharyngeal obstruction caused by common pharyngitis can be significantly relieved after targeted treatment in otolaryngology. In addition to a feeling of obstruction in the throat, cervical pharyngeal syndrome also includes discomfort and soreness in the neck. When the head is lowered, the symptoms significantly worsen, and only pharyngitis is treated without significant improvement. If you also have a foreign body sensation similar to the one mentioned by the patient above, and have undergone various examinations to rule out related diseases, it may be a throat foreign body sensation caused by cervical spondylosis. We recommend that you seek medical attention from a pain department. Patients can undergo cervical low-temperature plasma radiofrequency ablation, using a puncture needle to reach the target point for ablation. The treatment process takes less than half an hour, and patients can also communicate with the surgeon during the surgery.
