Five "Glorious Home" plaques hang high in front of the door, witnessing the family's unwavering patriotic spirit. During this year's May Day holiday, an old house located in Xiulu Village, Luxi Town, Pinghe County, Zhangzhou City, Fujian Province, attracted the attention of many tourists. These five identical "Glorious Family" plaques are the witness of the five generations of the Chen family who joined the army and inherited the revolutionary spirit. Whenever the sun shines, the golden light on the plaque complements the vicissitudes of the old house, as if telling the story of this 94 year long military service. Located in front of an old house in Xiulu Village, Luxi Town, Pinghe County, Zhangzhou City, five identical "Glorious Home" plaques are hung high. On the evening of March 27, 1931, Chen Caiqin set up a struggle against the "suppression" campaign here. Due to traitors reporting, Chen Caiqin quickly led the enemy behind the mountain, fought and retreated, but unfortunately was shot and sacrificed at the age of 29. On the morning of May 4, 75 year old retired soldier Chen Yacai once again came to the Chen family's old residence to explain to tourists the revolutionary story of Chen Caiqin, who was then the Secretary of the Pinghe County Committee, and the touching stories of a family of five generations and 19 people who sacrificed themselves for the revolution. "Our old house used to be the location of the Fujian Guangdong Border Committee and was the first contact household. It was destroyed multiple times due to the armed revolution. The current old house was rebuilt by the government in 1952, and my father and uncle have all lived here. Chen Tengtao, who was just discharged from the military last year, was the" fifth generation of soldiers "of the Chen family. Now he lives in the urban area of Zhangzhou, but his father, uncle, and uncle are still in the township of Pinghe County.". Chen Tengtao opened his mouth from the battle story of his great grandfather, Martyr Chen Xiujia. In the spring and summer of 1928, Chen Xiujia, a member of the Red Guards, and a group of passionate young people joined the Red Army. They followed the Red 21st Army in western Fujian and the Red 48th Regiment in southern Fujian, and defeated the attacks of Chen Zhidai's troops of the Nationalist Zhang Zhen 49th Division and local militia groups three times. In the third counterattack, Chen Xiujia was unfortunately injured and imprisoned in the Luxi Township Office. She suffered from severe torture multiple times, but remained confidential. She was released and carried home shortly before passing away. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, she was posthumously recognized as a revolutionary martyr. After Chen Xiujia's sacrifice, his sons Chen Minghao and Chen Haicheng, four brothers, successively participated in the revolution. Chen Minghao's son Chen Zuken joined the revolution at the age of 14. Under the influence of the red family, Chen Zuken also enlisted his four sons, Chen Chaomin, Chen Jinqiang, Chen Shouqin (father of Chen Tengtao), and Chen Chaozhuang. "I have been listening to my father tell revolutionary stories about my ancestors since I was young," said Chen Tengtao. The story of the Glory Card follows the "Glory Card Hanging Service Management Regulations (Trial)". Families who meet the conditions for hanging two or more Glory Cards at the same time (including two) will only hang one Glory Card. Why are there 5 Glory Cards hanging at Chen's doorstep? "In our eyes, the Glory Card witnesses the tumultuous years of dedicating oneself to national defense and is worthy of pride; and hanging it together has even greater significance in respecting and commemorating revolutionary predecessors." Chen Jinqiang said. Chen Jinqiang was the first among the "four generations of soldiers" in his family to enlist, and he was also the first to decide to hang his own honor card at the entrance of his old house. In his view, this not only motivates the younger generation of the family, but also is a way to carry forward the revolutionary story. Upon hearing the news, Chen Jinqiang's wife was puzzled and said that no one was living in the old house anymore,
