Working Together Together to Create a Bright Future

2024-04-15

Several young people from both sides of the Taiwan Strait living in Beijing stated on the 12th that the important speech will inspire young people to work together and work together to create a bright future of national reunification and rejuvenation. She said that regardless of the historical changes, the Chinese civilization that has lasted for thousands of years is always moving forward. I hope more Taiwanese youth can experience the power of cultural inheritance from ancient books and historical records, and enhance their recognition of Chinese culture. At a recent exchange event held at the school, Ma Anni and her fellow Taiwanese compatriots who accompanied Mr. Ma Ying jeou exchanged their feelings about living in Beijing. The young people also shared their experiences of visiting historical sites and perceiving the roots of Chinese culture, which resonated well with each other. During her studies in Beijing, Ma Anni also developed a strong sense of identification and belonging to Chinese culture when walking into historical sites, believing that this is a true portrayal of "compatriots on both sides of the Taiwan Strait share common blood, culture, and history.". Her grandparents went to Taiwan from Sichuan in their early years. She once accompanied her father back to Sichuan to search for roots and pay respects to her ancestors, tracing the traces of their lives, and felt like they had fallen leaves and returned to their roots. Youth on both sides of the Taiwan Strait should enhance their ambition, backbone, and confidence to become Chinese people, jointly create the long-term well-being of the Chinese nation, and continue to write new glories in the history of the Chinese nation. Tsinghua University Taiwanese student Lan Hao stated that as a member of the Chinese nation, Taiwanese youth should grasp their own positioning, work hand in hand with mainland youth, and jointly fulfill the historical responsibility of promoting the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. Wen Yunhao, a mainland student at Peking University, believes that only when the hearts of young people on both sides of the Taiwan Strait align can a solid foundation be laid for the peaceful development of cross-strait relations and the complete reunification of the motherland. Face to face communication and mutual visits are important ways to get to know each other. Last summer, Wen Yunhao went to Taiwan with a group of teachers and students from mainland China for exchange. This spring, he reunited with his old friends at Peking University and felt particularly friendly. Whether it was new or old friends, whether it was academic or life hobbies, their communication was natural and lively. "After a friend returned to Taiwan on the 11th, he sent a message saying that he hoped to see you again soon.". When parting ways, Liu Bingrui, an "old friend" from Taiwan's Cheng Kung University, described the feeling of a brief reunion as "it's difficult to say goodbye when we meet", while Wen Yunhao responded with "the tide is flat and the two sides are wide, and the wind is just a sail hanging.". He said he hopes that in the future, both sides of the Taiwan Strait will develop towards a more positive, peaceful, and integrated direction. At that time, it will not be difficult to reunite
