On March 26th, the circular express box that was previously tested online in Shenzhen began its fourth round of testing, and it is expected to complete all tests by the end of March. The next step is to gradually promote and apply it to local cross-border logistics. At the warehouse of Shenzhen International Express Operations Center, staff are loading a batch of circular express boxes filled with cross-border goods onto the delivery belt, which is expected to arrive in Paris, France in about 3 days. Unlike traditional cardboard boxes, all of these express boxes are made of recycled packaging materials. Taking into account the cost of cardboard boxes, weight based shipping, and overseas waste disposal fees, the cost of using recycled express boxes alone is lower than that of traditional cardboard boxes. The circular express box is composed of polyester fabric, foam board, and hollow board, with a designed cycle life of more than 10 times. Due to the fact that circular express boxes involve both exports and imports, Shenzhen has innovatively launched a "cross-border e-commerce export+temporary import and export combination declaration" business by comparing the enterprise costs and customs clearance efficiency under different schemes, achieving a new green customs clearance model for circular packaging boxes.
