Expert delegation from Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine visits the Philippines

Recently, Professor Li Candong, President of Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, led a delegation of 7 experts to visit Cebu Province and Manila City in the Philippines, participate in the Asian Traditional Medicine Health Summit, and hold multiple free clinics. The expert group from Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine first attended the Asian Traditional Medicine Health Summit, showcasing the profound heritage and unique charm of traditional Chinese medicine to international scholars in various fields such as traditional Chinese medicine diagnosis, acupuncture treatment for cerebrovascular disease, knee osteoarthritis series research based on Qinggong medical cases, and integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine rehabilitation, promoting exchanges and mutual learning of traditional Asian medicine. The Asian Traditional Medicine Health Summit lasts for 3 days, covering academic lectures, case studies, free clinics and other activities. The case study was held at the Vicente Soto Memorial Medical Center of Cebu Normal University. Representatives of traditional Chinese and Western medicine from the Philippines took the stage to share their clinical cases and treatment methods, and consulted with the expert group of Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine on diagnosis and treatment strategies when encountering similar cases. At the government of Cebu Province in the Philippines, Li Candong signed a memorandum of cooperation with representatives such as the President of Cebu Normal University, Director of Cebu Vicente Soto Memorial Medical Center, and Director General of the Traditional and Alternative Medicine Research Center of the Philippine Department of Health to jointly promote the implementation and development of traditional Chinese medicine in Cebu Province, Philippines. At the China Philippines Traditional Chinese Medicine Center in Manila, a team of experts held two special lectures and conducted free consultations to answer questions and clarify doubts for local doctors and students from Qihuang College of Traditional Chinese Medicine; And the free clinics are aimed at local residents and overseas Chinese in the Philippines. Li Candong stated that this visit to the Philippines has further deepened the friendly relationship between Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Cebu Province and Manila City in the Philippines, promoted the dissemination and development of traditional Chinese medicine culture in the Philippines, and provided new ideas for innovative channels for overseas dissemination of traditional Chinese medicine culture in the future.
