Recently, the General Office of the Anhui Provincial Government issued the "Implementation Opinions on Promoting the High Quality Development of Disease Prevention and Control" (hereinafter referred to as the "Opinions"), which clarifies 20 tasks from five aspects: reshaping the system, improving mechanisms, enhancing capabilities, building teams, and strengthening support. The Opinion clearly states that strengthening the Provincial Center for Disease Control and Prevention will focus on enhancing its functions such as emergency response to infectious disease outbreaks and public health emergencies, inspection and testing, applied technology research, overall management of public health information, big data analysis and utilization, and external cooperation and exchange. Construct provincial public health centers in northern, central, and southern Anhui, and leverage their radiation support and demonstration role. Optimize city and county disease control institutions, and steadily and orderly promote the integration of disease control centers and health supervision agencies. Standardize the provision of public health technical services such as inspection and testing, in vitro diagnostic reagent evaluation, vaccine evaluation, and hygiene evaluation. Promote the standardization construction of disease control institutions, and by 2027, the standardization rate of cities and counties will reach 85%. The Opinion points out that a sound mechanism for consultation, analysis, and testing between medical institutions and professional public health institutions should be established to achieve data exchange, resource sharing, personnel exchange, and cross training. Promote the integration of medical and public health resources. Establish a system of disease control supervisors for medical institutions, and set up full-time and part-time disease control supervisors at all levels and types of medical institutions.
