Specifically, in terms of basic research, the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine has further deepened its scientific interpretation and understanding of original theories of traditional Chinese medicine, such as the theory of Zangxiang and the specificity of acupoints. Significant achievements have been made in the study of the essence of the five organs and the principles of acupuncture. In terms of clinical research, important progress has been made in clinical evaluation research of TCM in many disease fields such as cardio cerebrovascular, metabolism and digestion, and major breakthroughs have been made in clinical problems such as preventing type 2 diabetes, stabilizing vulnerable plaque, and improving the prognosis of myocardial infarction. In terms of emergency scientific research on emerging infectious diseases, 178 national, provincial and ministerial research projects were supported in response to the COVID-19, and effective prescriptions such as "three drugs and three parties" were screened to provide scientific and technological support for epidemic prevention and control. In terms of evidence-based research, the Chinese Center for Evidence Based Medicine in Traditional Chinese Medicine has been established. Since 2023, based on evidence-based research and extensive clinical practice, 50 advantageous traditional Chinese medicine treatment diseases, 52 integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine diagnosis and treatment plans, 100 suitable technologies, and 100 uniquely effective Chinese medicine varieties have been selected and released. The construction of China's traditional Chinese medicine technology innovation system continues to deepen. The State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine has laid out the construction of national medical centers for traditional Chinese medicine, promoted the construction of 46 national centers for inheritance and innovation of traditional Chinese medicine, approved the construction of 7 national key laboratories, 5 National Engineering Research Center, 4 national innovation platforms for integration of industry and education in tackling key medical problems in the field of traditional Chinese medicine, and successively established a number of major platforms, such as the Guangdong Traditional Chinese Medicine Laboratory, Hubei Shizhen Laboratory, and Henan College of Traditional Chinese Medicine. At the same time, the improvement of traditional Chinese medicine quality and the solid promotion of industrial development. Completed the fourth national survey of traditional Chinese medicine resources, established 28 seed and seedling breeding bases for traditional Chinese medicine, built a high standard germplasm resource bank, and collected and preserved 70000 seeds. The artificial breeding and substitute research of rare and endangered Chinese medicinal materials have achieved phased results. More than 120 types of bulk or authentic medicinal materials have been standardized for cultivation, and over 100 types of traditional Chinese medicinal materials have been ecologically planted. Since 2021, 40 traditional Chinese medicines have been approved for market, including 16 ancient classic formula Chinese medicine compound preparations, and the development process of new Chinese medicine drugs has significantly accelerated. The relevant person in charge of the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine stated that in order to do a good job in traditional Chinese medicine technology, it is necessary to adhere to the goal of improving the ability of traditional Chinese medicine to prevent and treat diseases, promote the combination and promotion of traditional Chinese medicine and modern science, and integrate the development of traditional Chinese medicine technology innovation and industrial innovation.
