"Small greening" embodies the "great wisdom" of urban governance

Recently, the newly released "Implementation Measures for Shenzhen's Stereoscopic Greening" has attracted widespread attention. The method encourages social organizations, enterprises, and individuals in Shenzhen to actively participate in three-dimensional greening construction. Those who meet the conditions can apply for subsidies, with a maximum of 300 yuan per square meter. Although planting flowers and grass on their own balconies is not within the scope of subsidies and rewards, everyone can participate in the annual Shenzhen Citizen Family "Most Beautiful Balconies" exhibition and selection activity. Whether it is economic subsidies or selection activities, Shenzhen's practical exploration of "small greening" embodies the "great wisdom" of building a modern international city. Creating three-dimensional greening is beneficial for expanding urban ecological space and improving the livability of urban life. A good ecological environment is the most direct and fair public good in people's lives. Urban greening is not only an ecological project, but also a livelihood project. As a complex system engineering, urban greening should not only meet the requirements of ecology, economy, and landscape, but also meet the needs of health, safety, and livability. Stereoscopic greening can effectively increase urban greenery, provide more places for plant photosynthesis, and plant leaves can also adsorb dust and harmful gases in the air, further purifying the air, effectively regulating urban temperature, alleviating urban heat island effect, and creating a more comfortable environment for urban residents. Various forms of greening, such as roof greening, elevated layer greening, wall (surface) greening, shed greening, bridge greening, window and balcony greening, and hard slope greening, can enrich the spatial structure and artistic effect of urban landscaping, create a lush urban garden, form a well-arranged green landscape, and enhance the beauty and temperament of the city. Co building urban greening can gather the joint efforts of multiple stakeholders and enhance the ecological reputation of the city. By encouraging more social entities such as social organizations, enterprises, and individuals to participate in urban greening construction, urban greening is endowed with more autonomy, artistry, and humanity, allowing green and low-carbon production and lifestyle to be organically integrated with urban culture. Traditional urban greening construction is often led by the government and lacks the participation of residents and other entities, making it difficult to fully meet the needs of residents. In recent years, the concept of people-oriented, co built and shared urban greening has gradually emerged, fully respecting the wishes and needs of residents, reflecting the concepts of humanistic care and democratic consultation. The pink "waterfall" on the overpass, the palace pink Bauhinia flower belt stretching for several kilometers along the road, and the blooming azaleas along the parking lot railing... embellish the romance of the streets and alleys, making the inclusiveness and sharing of Shenzhen more "visible" and winning the praise of the majority of the city residents. Encourage and guide residents and other entities to participate, fully understand the opinions and suggestions of various groups on green construction, formulate green plans according to local conditions, create a green environment that meets the needs of the public, and promote the improvement of urban green construction quality and efficiency. In this way, it is also beneficial to enhance the sense of ownership of various social entities, cultivate the awareness of green love and protection in the whole society, shape the urban trend of green civilization, and enhance the sense of achievement and happiness of residents. "Green and Beautiful Shenzhen" is a new answer provided by an international metropolis for the old topic of urban development. The report of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China proposes to adhere to the principle of building people's cities and serving the people, and to improve urban planning
