The 61st Bologna International Children's Book Fair was held from the 8th to the 11th at the Bologna Convention and Exhibition Center in Italy. The Bologna International Children's Book Fair was founded in 1964 and is one of the most important exhibitions in the world's children's book and multimedia industry. This exhibition has attracted over 1500 exhibitors from approximately 100 countries and regions. More than 60 Chinese key publishing groups, children's publishing houses, and printing enterprises participated in the exhibition, showcasing the development achievements of China's children's publishing industry to the world through activities such as showcasing high-quality books, exchanging ideas with writers, and promoting printing products, actively promoting China's children's books to the world. During the exhibition, Hunan Children's Publishing House signed a cooperation agreement with Italy's White Star Publishing Group on site to export the manga version of Chinese children's literature writer Tang Sulan's "The Story of the Silly Wolf" to Italy. Robert Nardini, the vice president of the group, said that this work is full of childlike charm and is believed to be loved by Italian children. "I hope to lay a solid foundation for further deepening cooperation with Chinese publishing institutions through this signing event." At the exhibition booth of Beijing Huirui Times Culture Group, the "Silk Road Game Books for Children" series attracted many visitors to stop. According to Zhang Shaofeng, the general manager of the group, this book is an original children's book planned by UNESCO and completed by Italian painters and authors hired by the group. It tells the story of the Silk Road history from the perspective of Western authors. He said that due to the internationalization of form and content, this book is highly favored by foreign booksellers and is a "hot selling item" of the group. At present, the series has finalized the translation and publication of five foreign languages. Famous children's literature writer Cao Wenxuan said in an interview with Xinhua News Agency reporters during the exhibition that the participation and high popularity of numerous Chinese exhibitors fully demonstrate the development of China's children's book publishing industry, and the momentum of Chinese books going global is very good. He believes that Chinese books are completing the process from "going out" to "going in".
