45 Key Projects Settled in Guangzhou Huadu Low Altitude Economic Projects Highlighting

2024-04-10

The 10th Guangzhou International Investment Annual Conference, Huadu District Parallel Branch, was held in Guangzhou on the 9th. The Huadu District Government of Guangzhou has signed 45 new key investment projects with a total investment of nearly 75 billion yuan. The project includes AVIC Materials, Beixing LiDAR, Fareo, Feidun, Haiyi General Aviation Operation Base, etc. The project covers multiple fields such as low altitude economy and modern logistics, automobiles and intelligent equipment, new energy and materials, digital economy, and air rail integration industry. There are 10 low altitude economic projects among them. With the rapid development of technology, the future of the aviation industry is no longer limited to an altitude of tens of thousands of meters. As a strategic emerging industry, the low altitude economy not only includes traditional general aviation formats, but also integrates low altitude production and service methods supported by drones. It has obvious characteristics of new quality productivity and extremely broad development space. In this context, Huadu District is competing to enter the "new" and seize the "new channel" of low altitude economy. Guangzhou Huadu is the location of a large air rail dual hub in the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area. Recently, the "Industrial Development Plan for Guangzhou North Growth Pole (including Airport Economic Zone) (2023-2035)" and the "Coordinated Development Plan for Airport and Surrounding Areas (North Growth Pole)" have been successively released, indicating that Huadu District is one step closer to achieving the goals of "Guangzhou North Comprehensive Portal" and "Reception Hall". Huadu has a mature automotive industry chain. The batteries, engines, body components, special materials, etc. of low altitude industrial aircraft can all be provided by the entire industry chain of the automotive industry. The Feidun eVTOL aircraft headquarters project signed this time is currently being developed in collaboration with Huaxin Composite Materials Company, an automotive industry chain enterprise in Huadu District, to produce carbon fiber components for eVTOL products. It is understood that Huadu District is planning and constructing about 460 acres of Huadu General Aviation Comprehensive Support Base and 140 acres of Low Altitude Economic Industrial Park in Chini Town. At present, efforts are being made to transform the Weiliu Road next to the Low Altitude Economic Industrial Park into a temporary test flight takeoff and landing point, with a runway length of approximately 700 meters. It can be used for eVTOL, LSA (Light Sport), rotary wing aircraft, delta wing and other aircraft models, as well as flight vehicle aircraft under development. It is expected to start construction soon and be put into use by the end of May. Huadu District is also drafting the "Ten Low Altitude Support Policies" and planning to establish a Low Altitude Economic Industry Fund to seize the "new channel" of the low altitude economy.
