On April 2nd, the enrollment conference for the "Fujian Fanghua Yue Opera Theater Order Class" was held in Fuzhou. At the meeting, it was revealed that Fujian Fanghua Yue Opera Theater, in collaboration with Zhejiang Vocational College of Arts, will jointly cultivate Fujian Yue Opera art inheritors in 2024, and will recruit 25 fresh elementary school graduates nationwide, with all tuition fees waived. Fujian Fanghua Yue Opera Theater is under the jurisdiction of the Fujian Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism. It is a professional theater troupe engaged in the performance, inheritance, protection, and research of Yue Opera and intangible cultural heritage. It was founded by the people's artist Mr. Yin Guifang in Shanghai in 1946, moved south to Fujian in 1959, and was renamed to its current name in October 2019. Fujian Fanghua Yue Opera House has rehearsed hundreds of plays, including "Desert Prince," "Pan Wife Seeks Wife," "Dream of the Red Chamber," "He Wenxiu," and "Jade Dragonfly," gradually forming a unique "Yin style" art. Wang Jun'an, Li Min, Chen Liyu, and Zheng Quan won the Chinese Drama Plum Blossom Award. Zhejiang Vocational College of Arts is a full-time comprehensive higher vocational college of arts in Zhejiang Province, with a gathering of famous opera teachers and strong teaching staff. Beijing Opera performer Gai Jiaotian, Yue Opera performer Yao Shuijuan, Kunqu Opera performer Zhou Chuanying and others have successively taught at the school, cultivating a large number of outstanding alumni such as drama masters and CCTV host Dong Qing, and film and television actor Zhou Xun. Zheng Quan, Secretary and Dean of Fujian Fanghua Yue Opera Theatre and inheritor of the Zhang (Yunxia) School of Yue Opera, stated that Fujian Fanghua Yue Opera Theatre has formed a strong alliance with Zhejiang Vocational College of Arts to create talents in Yue Opera, adopting a modern apprenticeship system to cultivate 25 2024 level opera performers; Recruiting fresh primary school graduates nationwide, with full exemption of tuition fees; After graduation, I was selected based on merit and hired as a staff member for the Fujian Fanghua Yue Opera Theater. According to Gu Bin, Deputy Minister of the Department of Learning and Engineering at Zhejiang Vocational College of Arts, in 2024, the "Fujian Fanghua Yue Opera Theater Order Class" will enroll female students, with a six-year vocational school system. In terms of teaching, the school will adopt a teaching model that is characterized by stage based artistic practice and systematization, as well as customized schools and teachers, to tailor teaching plans and talent cultivation programs for the "Fujian Fanghua Yue Opera Theater Order Class".
