Wang Weizhong, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Guangdong Provincial Committee and Governor of Guangdong Province, introduced Guangdong's economic and social development around the theme of "unswervingly promoting Guangdong's high-quality development efforts to take the lead in promoting the construction of Chinese path to modernization", and made the following deployment to promote Guangdong's high-quality development: Guangdong is a province with a large economy, a large population and a large foreign trade. In 2023, Guangdong's GDP will be 13.57 trillion yuan, accounting for 1/10 of the country, ranking first in the country for 35 consecutive years; The total number of operating entities in Guangdong has exceeded 18 million, including 7.8 million enterprises, accounting for 1/7 of the national total; From January to February this year, there were 330000 newly established business entities, including 182000 individual industrial and commercial households and 148000 enterprises; There are over 150 million people in Guangdong, and last year the province received 777 million tourists with a total tourism revenue of over 950 billion yuan, ranking first in the country. During this year's Spring Festival, Guangdong received 76.07 million tourists, an increase of 68%, achieving a tourism revenue of 69.4 billion yuan, an increase of 160%. At the same time, Guangdong's economy continued to rebound and improve, with industrial growth of 10.6%, consumption growth of 6.1%, investment growth of 4.3%, and import and export growth of 24.9%. Next, Guangdong will continue to "quickly, accurately, and practically" introduce policy measures that are conducive to stabilizing expectations, growth, and employment, focusing on expanding investment, promoting consumption, and stabilizing foreign trade, and striving to achieve the target of 5% economic growth in 2024. As a major manufacturing and consumption province, Guangdong will introduce a series of new favorable policies for enterprises this year in terms of serving enterprises, strengthening their innovative position and reducing logistics costs, so that enterprises can have more tangible sense of gain; At the same time, Guangdong will implement the new round of large-scale equipment updates and the call for exchanging old for new consumer goods deployed by the central government, accelerate the formulation of implementation plans and supporting policies, adhere to market orientation and government guidance, increase financial, taxation, finance, and factor support, with energy conservation and carbon reduction, ultra-low emissions, safety production, digital transformation, and intelligent upgrading as important directions, promote equipment updates and renovations in seven major fields, and carry out the exchange of old for new for automobiles, home appliances, and home decoration consumer goods, effectively transforming policy dividends into development results. Since the release of the "Outline of the Development Plan for the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area" five years ago, the central government has given Guangdong significant opportunities to build the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area, Shenzhen Pilot Demonstration Zone, and major platforms such as Hengqin, Qianhai, Nansha, and Hetao, driven by the construction of the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area. The second is the continuous improvement of technological innovation capabilities; The third is to accelerate the improvement of internal and external communication networks; The fourth is to accelerate the construction of major cooperation platforms; The fifth is the gradual improvement of market integration level. On March 1st of this year, the Hengqin Cooperation Zone achieved a crucial step in line management and integration of Qinhuangdao and Macau. The Shenzhen China Corridor and Huangmaohai Corridor will be completed and opened to traffic this year, connecting major cities in the Greater Bay Area
