"Stepping forward is the instinct of soldiers." Recently, a video caught the attention of Liu Ke, the platoon leader of a battalion stationed in Beijing. In the video, the young man who acted bravely was actually Jiang Yifan, a soldier from his own company. Jiang Yifan (left) took a photo with his comrades while enlisting. The interviewee's submission of pictures will start from the evening of April 1st. Approaching Qingming Festival, Jiang Yifan, who was on vacation in his hometown of Guanxian, Liaocheng, Shandong, drove alone to sweep graves. Due to the narrow road and slow speed in the dark, when passing through a small bridge, Jiang Yifan vaguely heard someone calling for help and quickly stopped to check. Looking down along the bridge, Jiang Yifan noticed someone struggling in the river. Without time to search for rescue equipment, Jiang Yifan jumped into the river after confirming the position of the drowning person. He swam hard to the side of the drowning person and found out it was a little boy aged six or seven. He immediately lifted the boy's head and moved slowly towards the shore. Nearby people heard the commotion and rushed to help, contacting the parents of the children. After confirming that the child was in good physical condition and emotionally stable, Jiang Yifan drove away from the scene. I thought this matter would come to an end, but I didn't expect the family of the drowning person to find Jiang Yifan's family after several rounds of searching based on his license plate number. At this point, Jiang Yifan had already returned to the team. The family of the drowning person presented a banner with the words "Sacrifice oneself to save others, kindness is as heavy as a mountain" to Jiang Yifan's parents, and tightly grasped Jiang Yifan's father's hand, thanking him, "Thank you, you have raised a good child, he gave my son a second life." Jiang Yifan's father quickly waved his hand and said, "This is what he should do." Faced with praise from all walks of life, Jiang Yifan said, "Looking back on what happened, although I am afraid, I will never regret it. I believe that any soldier who encounters such a situation will not hesitate to step forward, this is responsibility, and also instinct."
