According to a report on the website of Rossiyskaya Gazeta on January 4, the Shipnov Equipment Manufacturing and Design Bureau under the Russian State Technology Corporation is about to complete the test of the latest modification of the "armor" - SM-SV missile gun integrated air defense system. This model not only improves combat performance, but also comes with a tracked chassis. According to reports, the Russian National Technology Corporation has stated that with a tracked chassis, the system will be able to escort and cover other air defense systems in snow and off-road military operations. After testing, the Armor SM-SV meets the requirements of the Russian Ministry of Defense. The arsenal of the "Armor" air defense system has been expanded to include high-speed guided missiles with a range of 40 kilometers and affordable micro missiles for countering drones. The equipped new radar has doubled its field of view, from 36 kilometers to 75 kilometers. Even transport and loading vehicles can use the Armor SM system for shooting. It is not equipped with artillery and guidance systems, but can launch missiles according to orders from tanks or command centers. The SV in the name of this tracked version system means it is designed for the army. (Compiled by Zheng Yu) (Le Xin She)
