The third ministerial meeting of the China celac forum was held by video on the evening of March 3. *** State Councilor and foreign minister Wang Yi chaired the meeting and delivered a keynote speech. *** Countries in the region are welcome to actively support and join us. Wang Yi put forward five suggestions: first, adhere to equality and create opportunities for independent development. Second, adhere to mutual benefit and create joint development opportunities. Third, adhere to innovation and create green development opportunities. Fourth, adhere to openness and create inclusive development opportunities. Fifth, adhere to benefiting the people and create inclusive development opportunities. Wang Yi stressed that no matter how the international situation changes, China Latin America unity and cooperation will never stop. We should work together to safeguard the common values of peace, development, fairness, justice, democracy and freedom of all mankind and jointly promote the construction of a China Latin America community with a shared future. The foreign ministers of celac members said that China is an indispensable and important development partner and welcome the major cooperation initiatives put forward by China. They agreed that China and Latin America should expand and deepen cooperation in various fields and adhere to multilateralism. The meeting adopted the declaration of the third ministerial meeting of the China celac forum and the joint action plan for cooperation in key areas between China and celac member states (2022-2024).
