Chinese peacekeeping medical unit donates medicine to Lebanese villages

The 20th batch of Chinese peacekeeping medical teams to Lebanon recently donated a batch of drugs to ibil Saiji village, nabatiye Province, Lebanon. Yibil Saiji village recently sent a letter to the Chinese peacekeeping medical team, requesting the medical team to assist in some urgently needed drugs. The medical team immediately decided to donate 51 varieties of drugs to the village, including antihypertensive drugs, antibiotics, topical drugs and painkillers, with a value of more than 60000 yuan. Duan Da, the liaison officer of the unit, said at the donation ceremony that the Chinese medical unit will make its own efforts to help the Lebanese people and thank the Lebanese people for their support and help to the Chinese peacekeeping medical unit. Beikai, head of yibil Saiji village, thanked the Chinese medical team for its help and hoped to continue to maintain good relations with the Chinese medical team. Since the official handover of the 20th batch of Chinese medical teams to Lebanon in mid August this year, they have donated medical materials and drugs to the Lebanese people three times and made 73 free clinics for the local people. China has sent peacekeeping troops to Lebanon since 2006. At present, the Chinese peacekeeping forces deployed in southern Lebanon include medical units, construction engineering units and multi-functional engineering units, with a total of more than 400 officers and soldiers.
