From May 7th to 9th, Ding Xuexiang, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and Vice Premier of the State Council, conducted research in Dalian and Shenyang, Liaoning, and chaired a symposium in Shenyang. In Dalian, Ding Xuexiang went to Dalian University of Technology to conduct research on technological innovation, talent cultivation, and employment of graduates. He also visited Dalian Shipbuilding Heavy Industry Group, Mingyuan Technology Company, and Aohai Technology Company to learn about enterprise operations, technological research and development, and industry development. He stated that we need to deepen collaborative innovation between industry, academia, and research, strengthen the dominant position of enterprises in scientific and technological innovation, and improve the transformation and industrialization level of scientific and technological achievements. He encouraged college students to have a down-to-earth heart, actively work and start businesses in enterprises and grassroots, and achieve their life dreams. In Shenyang, Ding Xuexiang inspected Shen Gu Group, Northern Medicine Valley Desheng Biotechnology Co., Ltd., Tuojing Technology Co., Ltd., and Liaoning Materials Laboratory to learn about major equipment research and development, high-tech industry development, and innovation in the system and mechanism of new research and development institutions. He stated that high-end manufacturing is an important support for high-quality economic development, and we should continue to expand and strengthen the advanced manufacturing industry, promoting high-end, intelligent, and green development. Strengthen original and disruptive technological innovation, drive industrial innovation with technological innovation, and continuously open up new fields and tracks for development. At the symposium, Ding Xuexiang affirmed that Liaoning should fully leverage its advantages in science and education, accelerate the transformation of scientific and technological innovation achievements, and promote industrial transformation and upgrading. At the same time, he emphasized the need to make greater efforts in leading industrial innovation with scientific and technological innovation and accelerating the formation of new productive forces, providing sustained and strong impetus and support for high-quality development.
