On the morning of the 8th, a vivid rural cultural protection class was held at the Great Hall of the People in Zhejiang Province. "Protecting green waters and green mountains not only requires ecological protection, but also cultural protection. The hope for cultural inheritance lies in the vast countryside, and everyone has a great responsibility...". Renowned architect and Dean of the School of Architecture and Art at the Chinese Academy of Fine Arts, Wang Shu, gave a lecture on stage. The students were among the first batch of cultural envoys in Zhejiang Province. Using Song painting images to introduce the comparison between ancient and modern West Lake, analyzing the surrounding layout of the famous Dongyang Lu Mansion ancient architectural complex, teaching his own practice in protecting ancient villages in Fuyang and Quzhou, and teaching the design concept of the Hangzhou National Version Museum... Wang Shu sighed and said that the ancient villages he led his team to protect needed fresh blood very much. "It would have been great if there were cultural commissioners at that time, building modern civilization and huge rural potential." On that day, the first batch of 100 cultural commissioners selected by Zhejiang Province officially set off. These special envoys were selected by the Propaganda Department of the Zhejiang Provincial Party Committee based on the Implementation Opinions on the Work of Cultural Special envoys issued by the General Office of the Zhejiang Provincial Party Committee and the General Office of the Zhejiang Provincial People's Government, with a focus on promoting the cultural system, government agencies, universities, and various associations (societies, groups) throughout the province. It is reported that cultural envoys should focus on guiding one administrative village, pairing with one new era civilization practice center or rural cultural auditorium within the scope of their stationed townships (streets). In principle, they should work in townships (streets) for about 100 days each year, and provide guidance and services at the grassroots level at least once a month to carry out multiple tasks. These tasks include preaching theoretical policies, providing cultural services, building cultural brands, exploring cultural resources, enhancing cultural platforms, assisting cultural industries, cultivating and guiding cultural talents, and other cultural construction work to vigorously promote rural revitalization. The cultural envoy will also collaborate with the technology envoy, rural instructors, and other talent teams stationed in the village to form a joint force. In response to the work of cultural envoys, evaluation and incentive measures have been formulated based on the implementation opinions. The person in charge of the Propaganda Department of the Zhejiang Provincial Party Committee stated that innovating the implementation of the cultural special envoy system and leveraging the role of outstanding cultural talents in promoting grassroots cultural construction is a new approach to deepening the construction of the "Ten Million Project", promoting high-quality development, and building a demonstration zone for common prosperity. It is also a new path to improve the quality, expand the scope, and increase efficiency of grassroots cultural construction, and meet the spiritual and cultural needs of the people. (Lai Xin She)
