On the 29th, the Chief Executive of the Macao Special Administrative Region, He Yicheng, met with the Mayor of Shanghai, Gong Zheng, in Macau to exchange views on topics such as continuously deepening the mechanism of the Shanghai Macao Cooperation Conference and pragmatically promoting the development of industries in the two regions. He Yicheng thanks the Shanghai Municipal Party Committee and Government for their long-term concern and support for the development of Macau. He pointed out that the SAR government is actively implementing the "1+4" moderately diversified development strategy, focusing on promoting the development of four major industries: big health, modern finance, high-tech, exhibition and trade, and cultural sports. It is also accelerating the construction of the Hengqin Guangdong Macao Deep Cooperation Zone. Recently, the National Immigration Administration issued a notice on the implementation of several policy measures to further facilitate the entry and exit management of enterprises, injecting new impetus into the integrated development of Macau and Qinhuangdao and promoting the diversification of Macau's economy, and helping Macau further integrate into the overall development of the country and the construction of the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area. He Yicheng stated that since its establishment in 2019, the Shanghai Australia Cooperation Conference mechanism has laid a solid foundation for cooperation between the two regions, and both sides have continuously vigorously expanded and deepened exchanges and cooperation in various fields. Macao will continue to leverage its unique advantages and work together with Shanghai in key areas to create broader cooperation prospects in the future. After the meeting, He Yicheng, Gong Zheng, and Lv Yuyin, Deputy Director of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Macao Special Administrative Region, jointly witnessed representatives from Shanghai and Macao signing cooperation agreements in various fields such as health, meteorological technology, education exchange, research on foreign-related rule of law and talent cultivation, as well as cooperation between the Arbitration Center of the Macao World Trade Center and the Shanghai International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (Shanghai International Arbitration Center).
