On the evening of April 26th, the 14th Beijing International Film Festival came to an end. At the closing ceremony, the main competition unit "Temple of Heaven Award" was announced, and the Chinese film Stop and Go won three awards: best film, best screenwriter, and best supporting actress. This year's film festival received a total of 1509 registered films from 118 countries and regions, with diverse genres and styles. The film festival continues to deepen exchanges and cooperation between China and foreign film and television, creating an "international reception hall" for the first time, holding two forums, inviting 10 representatives of copyright holders from internationally renowned companies, 7 chairpersons or leaders of domestic and foreign film festivals to participate, and signing a "Memorandum of Cooperation" with the Rio de Janeiro International Film Festival. The Beijing Market Investment Exhibition invites 165 institutional enterprises from Brazil, Thailand, Malaysia, France and other countries to set up exhibitions. The film festival deeply serves the innovation and creation of the film and television industry, successfully holding 4 core forums, 3 film master classes, and 3 special forums. The number of registered projects for "project venture capital" reached 769. The film festival also has over a hundred activities to attract public participation. Among them, "Beijing Exhibition" offers a wide range of viewing options, organizing more than 50 creative meetings with 180000 viewers, meeting the diverse needs of film fans. The "Film Carnival" features the theme of "Light and Shadow Imprints: Huairou Life" and has screened over 1400 excellent domestic films, including "Wandering Earth 2". (Lai Xin She)
