March 3rd is a traditional festival of the people of Guangxi. Every year during the festival, thousands of activities are held in various parts of Guangxi to showcase ethnic characteristics and create a cultural feast. As one of the key activities of the "Guangxi March 3 · Eight Gui Carnival" in Guangxi in 2024, the "Guangxi March 3 · Eight Gui Carnival" series of activities will once again visit Hong Kong and Macao from April 26 to April 29, allowing Hong Kong and Macao compatriots to experience the vastness and profoundness of Chinese culture, strengthen cultural confidence and identity, and promote deep cooperation and exchange between Guangxi and the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area in the "March 3" folk activities. The 2024 "Guangxi March 3rd" into Hong Kong and Macao series of activities, including the "Guangxi March 3rd" folk culture into Hong Kong and Macao communities and scenic spots, the 2024 "Beautiful Guangxi Overseas Tour" and Yunxiang "Gui Feng Zhuang Yun" Hong Kong and Macao Exhibition and Broadcasting Week, and activities such as Guangxi's excellent audio-visual products and Gui edition good books entering Hong Kong and Macao. The series of activities are organized by the United Front Work Department of the Party Committee of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, the News Office of the Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, the Department of Culture and Tourism of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Guangxi Beibu Gulf International Port Group Co., Ltd., the Hong Kong Guangxi Federation of Societies, and the Macao Guangxi Federation of Societies. The event invited members of the Guangxi Hong Kong and Macao Political Consultative Conference, club leaders, enterprise representatives, and Hong Kong and Macao citizens to participate, with an estimated number of on-site participants exceeding a thousand. Among them, the launch ceremony of the 2024 "Guangxi March 3rd" into Hong Kong and Macao series of activities will be held in Hong Kong on the afternoon of April 27th. At the launch ceremony, not only will there be a unique charm of Guangxi's mountain song culture and folk customs showcased in the song and dance "Mountain Song Respecting Relatives", but there will also be cultural performances such as folk music performance and puppet performances. The event will also feature a display of Guangxi's cultural and tourism resources, showcasing the beauty of Guangxi's culture, mountains and waters, the vastness of the coastal area, the wonders of the border, the dazzling folk customs, and the joy of health preservation. The launch ceremony of the 2024 "Guangxi March 3rd" into Hong Kong and Macao series of activities will be held in Macau on the afternoon of April 29th. At the launch ceremony, not only will there be a cultural exhibition with strong ethnic characteristics, but also a gift ceremony for good books from Guangxi to Macao, and the 2024 Yunxiang "Gui Feng Zhuang Yun" Macao Exhibition and Broadcasting Week will be launched.
