Hong Kong Post will issue special stamps for the Cheung Chau Tai Ping Festival

On May 23rd, Hong Kong Post announced that it will launch a special stamp and related products titled "Intangible Cultural Heritage - Cheung Chau Tai Ping Festival" on May 9th. The Taiping Qingjiao Festival in Cheung Chau, Hong Kong has a history of over a hundred years. It is held every year from the 5th to the 9th day of the fourth lunar month and was included in the third batch of national intangible cultural heritage representative projects in 2011. In 2017, it became one of the first projects to be included in the Hong Kong Intangible Cultural Heritage Representative List. Hong Kong Post has issued a set of 4 stamps and 2 small stamps under the theme of "Intangible Cultural Heritage - Cheung Chau Tai Ping Festival", showcasing the colorful folk crafts and performing arts on Cheung Chau Island during the Tai Ping Festival, including qilin dance, large drums and gongs, and floating colors.
