The "Cultural Hometown · Fudi Rangtang -2024 Beijing Tour" event opened on the 31st at the Zhanfu Temple Scenic Area in Beihai Park. More than 80 intangible cultural heritage masterpieces and over 200 intangible cultural and creative products have collectively appeared, covering multiple fields such as thangka, bronze casting, embroidery, ceramics, and stone carving, showcasing the profound cultural heritage of Rangtang. Rangtang, meaning "the place where the God of Wealth resides" in Tibetan, is located in the western part of Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture in Sichuan. It is a gathering place for the three Tibetan branches of Kangba, Anduo, and Jiarong. This place boasts beautiful natural scenery and abundant cultural resources. This event is the first cultural exchange event after the strategic cooperation between Rangtang County and Beijing Shoulv Travel Development Co., Ltd. Omata, Director of Aba Prefecture Intangible Cultural Heritage Center and President of Intangible Cultural Heritage Association, introduced that Aba Prefecture has abundant intangible cultural heritage resources, with a total of 4 world-class intangible cultural heritage lists, 20 national intangible cultural heritage lists, 101 provincial-level intangible cultural heritage lists, 552 state-level intangible cultural heritage lists, and 1841 county-level intangible cultural heritage lists. The total number of intangible cultural heritage list projects is 2518, ranking first in the province, city, and state, and ranking first in the country. While promoting the integration of ethnic cultures, Rangtang County also keeps up with the times and actively explores the "Intangible Cultural Heritage+" development model. It has built the Rangbala Intangible Cultural Heritage Learning and Entrepreneurship Park, which focuses on protecting, inheriting, promoting, and developing 16 intangible cultural heritage projects, including Tangka, Tibetan medicine, pottery, Tibetan paper, etc. "I hope that through this event, more people can understand and get to know Rangtang, and experience the unique charm of Rangbala culture," said Sun Hongbin, Deputy Secretary of the Rangtang County Committee. Professor Song Nianshen from the Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences at Tsinghua University pointed out that in the cultivation plan for the inheritance of the Indian intangible cultural heritage, we have seen the absorption and integration of multiple traditional Chinese and Tibetan traditions in a craft. For example, students at Tangka Studio will receive training in Song Dynasty landscape painting, flower and bird painting, and character copying, or carefully study classics in art history such as Dunhuang murals and Yongle Palace murals. Secondly, teaching the inheritance of excellent intangible cultural heritage craftsmanship in the Han region to energetic young Tibetan people is of great significance for craft exchange, cultural inheritance, and ethnic integration. The students in the embroidery studio not only learned the traditional Tibetan craft of pile embroidery, but also inherited the technique of silk tapestry with the master of Suzhou embroidery, and created a brand new embroidery thangka. "It can be said that creating innovative, high-quality, and high-quality craftsmanship products is currently the prominent feature of the training center. It is precisely because of the rejection of excessive commercialization and the respect and adherence to traditional craftsmanship that the Rangbala Intangible Cultural Heritage Training Center has gone through more than a decade of trials and tribulations, forging ahead and finally having today's development prospects, cultivating a group of excellent talents for inheriting Han Tibetan culture." Wang Zhen, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of the First Travel, expressed his hope to provide more innovative elements for the tourism industry through innovative "tourism+" series of products and services. It is reported that this event is jointly organized by the Communist Party of China (CPC) Longtang County Committee, Longtang County People's Government, and Beijing First Travel Development Co., Ltd. The event will continue until April 21st, during which multiple cultural lectures, intangible cultural heritage skills exhibitions, and local food promotion activities will be held to allow citizens and tourists to have a deeper understanding of Rangtang.
