The Confucius Classroom at Zanzibar Public University in Tanzania held its unveiling ceremony on the 11th. Musa, Minister of Education and Vocational Training of Zanzibar, delivered a speech at the ceremony, expressing his hope that Zanzibar Public University and Zhejiang Normal University will take Chinese education as an opportunity to make positive contributions to promoting friendly exchanges between the two peoples. Zhang Ming, Acting Consul General of the Chinese Consulate General in Zanzibar, stated that the establishment of the Confucius Classroom is not only a symbol of friendship between the governments and people of China and Tanzania, but also a bridge for deepening understanding between the two peoples. In April 2022, Zhejiang Normal University and Zanzibar Public University signed a memorandum of understanding on the cooperation framework of Confucius Classroom. Jiang Yunliang, Secretary of the Party Committee of Zhejiang Normal University, stated in his speech that Zhejiang Normal University will continue to work together with public universities in Zanzibar to promote cooperation in Chinese education and inject new vitality into cultural exchanges between China and Tanzania. The President of Zanzibar Public University, Haji, expressed his sincere hope that the cultural exchange and cooperation between Tanzania and China will continue to deepen, and jointly write a beautiful chapter of cooperation and exchange between Tanzania and China.
