On the 13th, it was learned from the Central Cyberspace Administration that 11 departments, including the Cyberspace Administration, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the National Development and Reform Commission, and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, recently jointly issued a notice on carrying out the second batch of national digital rural pilot work. Through the second batch of pilot work, we explore the development path and methods of digital rural areas under different regional conditions, providing strong support for promoting comprehensive rural revitalization and accelerating the construction of an agricultural power. The notice requires the establishment and improvement of cross departmental coordination mechanisms and cross level linkage mechanisms, the overall planning and design of digital rural construction, the integration and utilization of relevant support policies and existing resources, and the implementation of responsibilities to promote work and policy implementation. Give full play to the role of market mechanisms, better leverage the role of the government, cultivate a good ecological environment for the development of digital rural areas, use information flow to drive technology flow, capital flow, and talent flow, and explore the formation of a new situation of social diversity and co construction. At the same time, focusing on the most concerning, direct, and practical interests of farmers, we will accelerate institutional, mechanism, model, and technological innovation, actively expand digital application scenarios, and continuously enhance the sense of gain, happiness, and security of farmers. Based on local development reality, explore models and practices with regional characteristics, do not adopt a one size fits all approach, eliminate "image engineering", and promote digital rural construction in an orderly and effective manner for a long time. The notice clearly states that by the end of 2026, significant achievements will be made in the construction of digital rural areas in pilot areas, the foundation for rural informatization development will be further consolidated, the "digital divide" between urban and rural areas will be accelerated, agricultural data resources will be shared and interconnected, and rural digital application scenarios will continue to emerge.
