At the 2024 World Digital Education Conference, the World Digital Education Alliance was officially established, and the international version of the China National Smart Education Public Service Platform was launched. China's international cooperation in digital education has achieved more results. Currently, China's digital education strategy is about to enter its third year and begin new deployments. China will further promote the construction of a global digital education cooperation platform. Building a public service platform for global learners in response to the vision statement of the United Nations Educational Change Summit and fulfilling the solemn commitment made to UNESCO, the international version of China's National Smart Education Public Service Platform was officially launched at this year's World Digital Education Conference. This education public service platform for global learners supports six official languages of the United Nations, including Chinese, English, French, Russian, Spanish, Arabic, etc. It has three major sections: information services, resource services, and government affairs hall. By widely gathering high-quality digital education resources, creating a new learning space, the platform provides public welfare learning services to meet the comprehensive and personalized development needs of learners. In the "Resource Services" section of the international version of the China National Smart Education Public Service Platform, the first batch of about 780 courses were launched, covering 12 disciplines and 17 major categories such as literature, engineering, science, and art. The teaching staff came from more than 100 high-level universities such as Tsinghua University. At the same time, the platform also links digital resources such as the National Museum of China, the Palace Museum, the Mogao Grottoes of Dunhuang, and Henan Museum, so that students can experience and learn Chinese culture immersively. The "Government Services" section focuses on two aspects: "Study Abroad Services" and "Examination Services". It can provide seven services, including "Visa Services", "Academic Degrees Certification Services", and "Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK)", for international students studying in China. The clock was set back to September last year, and the "National Smart Education Public Service Platform" project in China won the UNESCO Education Informatization Award for 2022 at the UNESCO headquarters in Paris, France. This is the highest award for educational informatization within the United Nations system, praised by Stephania Janini, Assistant Director General of Education at UNESCO, "China's' National Smart Education Public Service Platform 'is an outstanding initiative to ensure universal access and effective use of public digital learning platforms, demonstrating to the world how to use digital technology to make teaching and learning more accessible, and providing useful experience for global digital education transformation." At that time, China's National Smart Education Public Service Platform was only launched for one and a half years. Nowadays, the launch of the international version platform will provide a broader platform for creating a more open, inclusive, and resilient digital education. Focusing on interdisciplinary research in the fields of digital technology and education, dental students use virtual reality technology to drill holes in their teeth and exercise practical skills. This case study by Colin Bailey, President of Queen Mary University in London and Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering, showcases how digital technology can drive deeper changes in teaching in a broader field. Colin Bailey said in an interview with our reporter that technologies such as artificial intelligence can bring more possibilities to education, but it is also necessary to use this technology appropriately and safely,
