"Intelligent computing power is innovation." On November 29, at the 2023 Artificial Intelligence Computing Conference, international data company IDC and Inspur Information released the "2023-2024 China Artificial Intelligence Computing Power Development Evaluation Report", which showed that in 2022, China's intelligent computing power scale reached 260 EFLOPS (billions of floating-point operations per second), and it is expected that by 2027, China's intelligent computing power scale is expected to exceed 1117 EFLOPS, The compound annual growth rate of China's intelligent computing power will be as high as 33.9%. The rapid development of large models is driving the rapid increase in global demand for computing power. From perceptual intelligence to generative intelligence, artificial intelligence increasingly relies on the support of strong algorithms, high computing power, and big data. Liu Jun, Senior Vice President of Inspur Information, said that factors such as the size of the model and the scale of the required training parameters directly affect the quality of intelligent emergence. Therefore, high computing power and efficient servers are of great concern. In the coming years, artificial intelligence servers will focus on improving computing power and processing efficiency to adapt to more complex and large-scale artificial intelligence applications. IDC predicts that the global market size for artificial intelligence servers will grow from $19.5 billion in 2022 to $34.7 billion in 2026. The proportion of servers used to run generative artificial intelligence in the overall AI server market will increase from 11.9% in 2023 to 31.7% in 2026. This means that in the coming years, on average, one out of every three artificial intelligence servers will be used for generative artificial intelligence services. Currently, China actively participates in the development and practice of artificial intelligence. IDC China Vice President Zhou Zhengang stated that on the one hand, Chinese companies generally have a high acceptance of generative artificial intelligence. At present, 67% of Chinese enterprises have started exploring opportunities for the application of generative artificial intelligence within enterprises or have begun to invest in real money and silver. On the other hand, Chinese internet companies, telecommunications operators, and other parties are actively investing in the construction of intelligent computing centers. As of August 2023, more than 30 cities in China have built intelligent computing centers, with a total construction scale exceeding 20 billion yuan. (Lai Xin She)
