According to the Guangdong Provincial Health Commission, from 0:00 to 24:00 on April 28, there were 7 newly confirmed cases in Guangdong Province, all of which were reported in Guangzhou; Seven new cases of asymptomatic infection were reported in Guangzhou. There were 19 newly discharged cases in the province (1 case imported from abroad), and 163 cases are currently in the hospital (18 cases imported from abroad); There were 24 cases of asymptomatic infection released from medical observation (13 cases imported from abroad), and 267 cases of asymptomatic infection still under medical observation (194 cases imported from abroad). Three newly imported confirmed cases in the province were all reported in Guangzhou, from the United States, Laos and Malawi. 25 cases of asymptomatic infection were newly imported from abroad, 10 cases were reported in Guangzhou, 4 cases were from Laos, and the remaining 6 cases were from Japan, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Papua New Guinea; Shenzhen reported 9 cases, 7 cases from Hong Kong, China, and the other 2 cases from Japan and South Korea respectively; Dongguan reported 3 cases, 2 cases from Japan and 1 case from Hong Kong, China; Zhuhai reported 2 cases and Zhongshan reported 1 case, both from Hong Kong, China. As of 24:00 on April 28, 14207 cases of COVID-19 positive infection (9013 imported cases) had been reported in the province, including 7004 confirmed cases (3837 imported cases) and 7203 asymptomatic infections (5176 imported cases).
