The World Trade Organization announced on the 23rd that it would hold the 12th Ministerial Conference in Geneva, Switzerland, in mid June this year after a delay of two years. WTO issued a press communique that, taking into account the relaxation of COVID-19 prevention and control measures in Switzerland, the WTO General Council meeting held on that day decided to hold the twelfth Ministerial Conference in Geneva in mid June, with the specific date to be determined. Dasio Castillo, President of the WTO General Council, said that the timing of the 12th ministerial conference will inject momentum into the work of the WTO and focus the discussion of relevant outcomes on key issues. The WTO Ministerial Conference is the highest decision-making authority of the WTO, which is generally held every two years. The 12th ministerial conference was originally scheduled to be held in Nursultan, the capital of Kazakhstan, in June 2020. Later, it was postponed due to the epidemic, and the venue was changed to Geneva. Due to the variation of COVID-19's drug, the meeting was postponed at the end of 11 in Geneva in 2021.
