The US Food and drug administration has approved the first oral drug that can be used to treat COVID-19 infection 22 days for the treatment of adults with newly diagnosed mild to moderate diseases and adults aged 12 and over. Pfizer's oral drug, paxlovid, consists of two antiviral drugs, the FDA said in a statement.
