According to local media reports on the 16th, extreme weather hit many states in the central United States again on the evening of the 15th. A strong storm raised dust storms, ignited mountain fires, destroyed power transmission lines, killed one person and cut power to 510000 families. The National Weather Service confirmed that tornadoes occurred in southeastern Minnesota and in Western and central Iowa, the first tornado in December in the history of the two states. According to the data provided by the "national power failure information network", by the early morning of the 16th, the strong storm had caused 150000 households in Wisconsin and Michigan, 47000 households in Iowa and 43000 households in Kansas. Central energy said it would take three days to restore power supply due to the wide range of damaged areas. This is the second time a strong storm has hit the central United States in the past week. From the evening of the 10th to the early morning of the 11th, more than 30 tornadoes hit six states in the central United States, killing 88 people, damaging a large number of buildings, infrastructure and heavy economic losses.
