The defendant Wang Yilin was sentenced to 13 years in prison and fined RMB 3 million for the crime of bribery; The proceeds and interests obtained from Wang Yilin's crimes shall be recovered in accordance with the law and turned over to the national treasury. After trial, it was found that from 1996 to 2020, the defendant Wang Yilin took advantage of his positions as Deputy Secretary and President of the Exploration and Development Research Institute of Xinjiang Petroleum Administration, Standing Committee Member and Deputy Director of the Party Committee of Xinjiang Petroleum Administration, Secretary and General Manager of the Party Committee of Xinjiang Oilfield Branch of China National Petroleum Corporation, Member and Deputy General Manager of the Party Committee of China National Petroleum Corporation, Secretary and Chairman of the Party Committee of China National Offshore Oil Corporation, and Secretary and Chairman of the Party Committee of China National Petroleum Corporation to provide assistance to relevant individuals in job adjustments, project contracting, enterprise operations, and other matters. He illegally accepted a total of more than 35.01 million yuan in property. The Intermediate People's Court of Ordos City believes that the defendant Wang Yilin's behavior constitutes the crime of bribery, and the amount of bribery is particularly huge, which should be punished according to law. Considering that he truthfully confessed to the crime after his arrival, voluntarily confessed to some bribery facts that the investigating authorities have not yet mastered, confessed and repented, actively returned the stolen goods, and all the stolen money and goods involved have been recovered, he may be given a lighter punishment according to law.
