Among them, the growth of mainland tourists is about 20%, and the growth of non mainland tourists is about 30%. The SAR government will summarize its experience and further optimize each link. Li Jiachao said that in the past few days, a large number of tourists have visited different scenic spots and check-in points in Hong Kong, driving business in various industries such as restaurants and bars. Some bars reported a business growth of 40-50%, while the retail industry also reported an increase of about 30-40% in jewelry, cosmetics, seafood and other businesses. He stated that in response to the large number of incoming people, multiple departments have made efforts to take a series of measures, and the overall situation is safe and orderly. There are still areas worth summarizing and optimizing in terms of tourist experience during the May Day holiday. The Cultural, Sports and Tourism Bureau and relevant departments have been requested to summarize their experience with the industry and report to the cross departmental festival arrangement working group led by the Chief Secretary for Administration. In response to the pressure points of passenger flow, new normal tourism modes and preferences of tourists, each link will be further optimized. Li Jiachao stated that the SAR government will work together with the industry to promote and develop new tourism services such as ecological tourism, cultural tourism, check-in tours, and authentic food tours, in order to better cater to the new preferences of tourists and bring more economic benefits to Hong Kong.
