The 137th China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair) offline exhibition closed in Guangzhou on May 5th, with multiple indicators such as the number of overseas buyers and on-site intended export transactions breaking historical records. As of May 4th, a total of 288900 overseas buyers from 219 countries and regions attended the fair, a year-on-year increase of 17.3% compared to the 135th Canton Fair held in the same period last spring; On site intended export transactions amounted to 25.44 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 3%. According to the data of China Foreign Trade Center, the organizer of the Canton Fair, emerging markets are still the largest source of visitors to the Fair. This year, the number of purchasers in the "the Belt and Road" countries was 187500, up 17.4% year on year, accounting for 64.9%; 72400 buyers from BRICS countries, a year-on-year increase of 24.1%; 64800 buyers from RCEP member countries, a year-on-year increase of 6.9%; 51900 European and American buyers, a year-on-year increase of 3.4%. At the same time, a total of 140 industrial and commercial organizations participated in this year's Canton Fair, a year-on-year increase of 17.6%; There are 376 top multinational procurement companies, reaching a historic high. At this Canton Fair, countries jointly building the "the Belt and Road" accounted for more than 60% of transactions, and transactions in traditional markets remained stable. The company showcased over 4.55 million products on site, including 1.02 million new products, 880000 green and low-carbon products, and 320000 smart products. The Canton Fair was founded in 1957 and is held annually in spring and autumn. After the closing of the 137th Canton Fair, the online platform of the Canton Fair continued to operate normally throughout the year.
