The 8th Digital China Construction Summit Smart Energy Sub Forum was held in Fuzhou
2025-05-01
The 8th Digital China Construction Summit Smart Energy Sub Forum was held on the 30th in Fuzhou, Fujian. The forum is hosted by State Grid Corporation of China and organized by State Grid Fujian Electric Power Co., Ltd. and other units, with the theme of "Digital Intelligence Starts New Navigation, New Chapter in Energy Spectrum", attracting representatives from government, enterprises, academia and research to attend. Leaders from the People's Government of Fujian Province, the Data Resources Department of the National Data Bureau, and State Grid Corporation of China attended the forum and delivered speeches, calling on all sectors of society to deepen collaborative cooperation, promote the deep integration of digital and intelligent technology with energy and power, leverage the value of data elements, jointly promote the digital and intelligent transformation of energy, and serve the construction of new power systems and new energy systems. At the forum, State Grid Corporation of China released the white paper "Artificial Intelligence Plus" for electricity. The book is divided into four parts: background, practice, planning, and outlook. It elaborates on the important role of artificial intelligence in the transformation and upgrading of energy and power intelligence, as well as the practical achievements of State Grid Corporation of China in exploring, constructing, and covering artificial intelligence technology applications, sample management, platform construction, and other aspects. In the keynote speech session, the participants focused on the theme, discussed the innovative potential energy of computing and intelligence in the field of smart energy, the safe development of smart energy, the causal general model and its application in the smart grid, the industrial Internet to support digital transformation and other cutting-edge issues, and jointly explored the path of practice. Lin Huimin, an academician of the CAS Member, said that information technology with computers as the core has penetrated into all levels of human society, and the AI revolution driven by deep learning is further accelerating this process. Computers and artificial intelligence are powerful assistants to humanity. The application of computers is endless, the development of digital technology is endless, and social progress is endless. Only by strengthening original innovation can we achieve technological self-reliance and self-improvement. Mei Hong, an academician of the CAS Member and a professor of Peking University, pointed out that digital transformation is the trend of the times. Its core driving force is the extensive human-computer and physical connection brought about by the Internet and its extension. Data element will be an important symbol of digital transformation. Industrial Internet is an important infrastructure to reshape the industrial manufacturing and service system and achieve digital, networked and intelligent industrial development. Xie Qinglin, Deputy General Manager and Party Member of China Electronics Information Industry Group, stated that digital technology is an important means to promote smart energy and ensure energy security. We should take new energy as the main body, digital technology as the driving force, and independent security as the cornerstone, reconstruct the energy supply mode, and achieve smarter, safer, and lower carbon. Cui Peng, associate professor and head of the Department of Computer Science at Tsinghua University, stated that flexibility is the core issue of new energy power systems. However, there are currently three major technical challenges in the implementation of artificial intelligence: non generalizability, non interpretability, and non backtracking. Introducing causal general models into machine learning is the fundamental way to break through the limitations of current artificial intelligence. At the peak dialogue session, five senior experts and industry experts from the energy and artificial intelligence fields exchanged ideas on topics such as "AI+Energy: Empowering the 'Four Revolutions, One Cooperation' Energy Security New Strategy", and conducted in-depth analysis of the main challenges and key breakthrough points faced by artificial intelligence technology in promoting the development of the entire energy production, supply, and sales chain towards intelligence, efficiency, and green direction. It is reported that since its first event in 2021, the Smart Energy Sub Forum has been successfully held for five sessions, providing an important platform for promoting the deep integration and innovation of energy technology and digital technology.
