French Navy's new unmanned boat (red). According to foreign media reports, the French Navy recently conducted tests on a new unmanned boat at the Toulon Naval Base, aiming to explore its integrated application with amphibious helicopter carriers. The unmanned boat was developed by a French technology company, measuring 8 meters in length, weighing approximately 4 tons, with a maximum speed of 30 knots (55 kilometers per hour) and a range of 370 kilometers. During the testing period, the unmanned vessel demonstrated its ability to perform various tasks, including intelligence reconnaissance, target surveillance, hydrological measurement, and collaborative operations with the mother ship in complex environments. The French Navy has evaluated its performance in amphibious combat scenarios through a series of practical tests, providing data support for future practical deployments. This test will help promote the progress of the French Navy in the integration technology of unmanned equipment and large ships. If large-scale integration is successfully achieved in the future, it will greatly improve the combat radius and situational awareness capability of amphibious helicopter carriers. (New Society)
