On April 28th, the Uruguay Business Promotion Conference of the "World Meets GZ Guanghui Business Opportunities · Sailing Across the Seas" series of activities jointly organized by the Consulate General of Uruguay in Guangzhou and the Guangzhou International Exchange and Cooperation Center was successfully held in Guangzhou. Representatives from the Uruguayan National Meat Association and enterprises expressed their expectations for further deepening cooperation between Uruguay and Chinese companies in the fields of beef, photovoltaics, real estate, and new energy vehicles to the attendees. In the B2B docking session, in-depth negotiations were held with multiple companies in Guangzhou regarding related cooperation. After the on-site promotion event, Uruguayan Ambassador to China Fernando Lugris told Xinhua News Agency reporters that the establishment of a comprehensive strategic partnership between Uruguay and China in 2023 marks a new stage in bilateral relations between the two countries. Both sides are actively preparing for the Uruguayan Foreign Minister's visit to China and a series of high-level meetings to further deepen cooperation in various fields. In terms of economic and trade cooperation, Ambassador Lugris pointed out that China's development achievements in the high-tech field are remarkable, and he particularly looks forward to deepening cooperation between the two countries in green and low-carbon industries such as new energy vehicles.
