On April 24th, the 4th China International Software Development Conference, hosted by the China Software Industry Association, was held in Beijing. The theme of this conference is "Artificial Intelligence and Software Transformation", which deeply explores the two-way empowerment of artificial intelligence and software. Xie Shaofeng, Chief Engineer of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, attended the conference and delivered a speech. Guests including Wang Ning, President of the China Electronics Chamber of Commerce, Ding Tao, Chief Scientist of the National Energy Group, and Cheng Xiaoming, Chairman of the Open Atomic Open Source Foundation, also attended. Wang Huaimin, an academician of the CAS Member and chairman of the China Software Industry Association, said in his welcoming speech that at a critical time when artificial intelligence is profoundly transforming the software industry, the successful convening of the Fourth Soft Development Conference will pool the strength of all parties involved in government, industry, university and research, promote high-quality development of the industry with innovative practices, and inject new momentum into the completion of the goals of the "14th Five Year Plan" and the construction of a modern industrial system. International partners such as the Asia International Trade and Investment Association and the Japan Information Services Industry Association have sent congratulatory letters, showcasing the global cooperation vision of China's software industry. Many experts and scholars from academia, industry organizations, and industry have conducted in-depth discussions on hot topics such as big models, digital applications in industries, and software industry transformation, providing constructive opinions and practical experience for promoting high-quality development of the software industry. At the meeting, the first batch of 39 expert committee members of the 8th Council Expert Committee of the China Software Industry Association were officially announced, and the Data Security Branch, Gaussian Database Ecology Special Committee, and Data and Digital Economy Branch of the China Software Industry Association were established to inject new strength into the development of the industry. At the same time, the opening ceremony for the construction (preparation) and collection of collections of the China Software Version Museum was officially held. Participants witnessed the historic moment of the establishment and launch of the national software cultural heritage. The establishment of the China Software Version Museum will fill the gap in the professional platform for the protection of software cultural heritage in China, and will also open up a path for the coordinated development of industries and cultural construction. This conference will last for two days and promote in-depth dialogue and practical exploration in the industry through a multidimensional activity framework. We held innovation achievement press conferences and six parallel forums, released the "Compilation of Development Achievements of China's Software Industry in 2024", held high-tech exhibitions, and focused on showcasing hardcore technologies such as chip design, full stack AI development platforms, and cloud native security systems, comprehensively outlining the innovation landscape of the software industry in the era of artificial intelligence.
