The 2025 Grand Canal Cultural Promotion Activity, with the historical origin and cultural inheritance of the "Kaicao Festival" and the millennium canal transport culture as the foundation, is designed around five major areas: anchoring cultural heights, creating immersive experiences, empowering innovation and technology, covering all age groups, and connecting online and offline. A series of characteristic cultural activities have been planned at the Grand Canal Cultural Tourism Scenic Area, Beijing Urban Library and other locations, including opening events, academic seminars, Dayun Changge Light and Shadow Show, water photography exhibition, and Canal Cultural Food Festival. At the launch ceremony of the "Tongzhou on the Canal" cultural, commercial, sports, and agricultural co creation alliance, Lin Zhenghang, Deputy District Chief of Tongzhou District, announced the scene of the alliance's co construction. The Culture and Tourism Bureau of Tongzhou District signed a strategic cooperation agreement with more than ten expert consultant representatives, co creation partners, and enterprise representatives who joined the alliance, marking the official operation of this cross-border integration platform. The alliance will integrate resources from five major fields: culture, commerce, tourism, sports, and agriculture, to create a unique canal culture brand. At the results release stage, the latest achievements of the construction of the new audio-visual industry in the Grand Canal were showcased on site. Beijing Daily Press Group and Tongzhou District Integrated Media Center jointly unveiled the plaque for the urban joint studio, and will work together to tell the story of the canal in the new era. Two canal themed works, "Song of the Thousand Miles of Boats and Boats" and "Praying for Peace and Tranquility", also held online ceremonies. The achievements of the "Canal Ideology and Politics" series in Beijing's primary, secondary, and tertiary schools were showcased in the "Canal Ideology and Politics" section. The "Canal Ideology and Politics" Integrated Innovation Demonstration Alliance of Beijing's primary, secondary, and tertiary schools (hereinafter referred to as the "Alliance") officially released version 1.0 of the "Canal Ideology and Politics Practice Learning" digital navigation platform, which focuses on tracing the historical context of the Grand Canal and exploring the value of the times. It innovatively constructs a new mode of education that combines online and offline integration, fun and practicality. The first phase gathers practical teaching check-in points in the Tongzhou section of the Grand Canal, integrating functions such as map overview, offline check-in, online course learning, activity announcement release, and learning achievement accumulation, providing immersive canal culture experience for teachers, students, and the public. At the event site, five themed competitions for teachers and students, including the "Canal Star Pushing Official" short video contest and the "Canal Space Capsule" micro story contest, will be simultaneously released. Through diverse creative forms, the ten major action projects of "Canal Ideology and Politics" will be promoted, stimulating the endogenous motivation of young people to inherit Canal culture. On the same day, the "Canal Students' Hundred Villages Tour" activity was officially launched, planning nine major actions such as theme preaching, intangible cultural heritage inheritance, and rural revitalization. 22 practical teams of primary, secondary, and tertiary students were formed to regularly visit 22 townships and streets in Tongzhou District, and cooperate with grassroots new era civilization practice institutes (stations) to jointly build. Through theoretical preaching, cultural services, practical research, and other forms, canal culture was "rooted" in rural areas, injecting youthful energy into grassroots governance and cultural revitalization.
