The National Conference of Party Committees and Government Secretaries General was held in Beijing on April 24th. Cai Qi, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and Director of the General Office of the Central Committee, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. The meeting emphasized the need to take Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era as guidance, comprehensively implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the 2nd and 3rd Plenary Sessions of the 20th Central Committee, deeply study and implement the important instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping on the work of the General Office, deeply understand the decisive significance of the "two consolidations", and be the vanguard of the "two safeguards". To accurately grasp the new situation, new tasks, and new requirements facing the current work of the General Office, continuously strengthen the Party's innovative theoretical armed forces, resolutely safeguard the authority and centralized unified leadership of the Party Central Committee, implement the system of requesting and reporting major issues, further strengthen the role of political checks, continuously improve the quality and effectiveness of implementation, and better promote the implementation of the Party Central Committee's decisions and deployments. We must solidly carry out the study and education of thoroughly implementing the spirit of the Central Eight point Regulation, take the lead in implementing the spirit of the Central Eight point Regulation and its implementation rules, and continuously rectify formalism to reduce the burden on grassroots. General offices at all levels should thoroughly practice the "Five Adherences", take the lead in strengthening their own construction, further improve their political ability and professional quality, improve the "Three Services" work level, build a model organ that reassures the Party and satisfies the people, and make due contributions to comprehensively promoting the construction of a powerful country and national rejuvenation with Chinese path to modernization.
