The construction of the "Greater Bay Area on the track" is accelerating, and new milestones have been reached in the construction of the Guangzhou Zhanjiang high-speed railway and the Guangdong East intercity railway, laying a solid foundation for the timely opening of the projects. On April 10th, the construction of the Guangzhou Zhanjiang high-speed railway broke through two key milestones, marking a new breakthrough in project construction. On that day, with the completion of the final concrete pouring, the main structure of the east and west wings of the Guangzhan High speed Railway Foshan Station, constructed by the Station Building Construction Command of China Railway Guangzhou Group Co., Ltd. and undertaken by China Railway 25th Bureau, was successfully completed, laying the foundation for the main station building of Foshan Station to be ready for operation by the end of this year. The newly-built Foshan Station project is the largest station building under construction on the Guangzhou Zhanjiang high-speed railway, with a total construction area of 294000 square meters and a station yard size of 4 platforms and 9 lines. At the construction site, several tower cranes were suspended high, and the long arms of pump trucks were extended to accurately pour concrete into the formwork, making the construction busy. The completed pouring of the upper platform is 563.54 meters long from east to west, with a cover area of 53600 square meters. It is supported and transmitted by 324 solid concrete frame columns to ensure the safety of the main structure of the building. On the same day, in Nanhai District, Foshan City, the mobile formwork crossed piers 108 to 109 of the high school overpass bridge, with a continuous stream of transportation vehicles on site, mechanical roar, and busy construction. With the final concrete being poured into the mold, the pouring of all simple supported box girders for the Guangzhan High speed Railway Station Phase II Project, which was invested and constructed by Guangzhan Railway Company under Guangdong Railway Investment Group, EPC general contracting by China Railway Design Group, and constructed by China Railway 25th Bureau, was successfully completed, creating favorable conditions for the timely opening of the entire line. At present, the main construction of the bridge in this section has been completed by 96%, the roadbed construction has been completed by 95%, and the fully enclosed sound barrier, ballastless track bed, and ancillary works are being constructed simultaneously, with an overall progress of nearly 90%. At 10:30 am on April 9th, the shield tunneling of the Jieyang section of the Guangdong East Intercity Railway started smoothly. With the slow rotation of the cutterhead of the "Guangdong East Intercity No. 5" shield tunneling machine, the shield tunneling of the right track of the T2 station - U-shaped groove section of the Jieyang Airport of the Guangdong East Intercity Railway, which was invested and constructed by Guangdong Railway Investment Group and constructed by China Railway Group, marked the official entry of the shield tunneling construction stage of the Jieyang section of the Guangdong East Intercity Railway. The airport tunnel of the project is located in Rongcheng District, Jieyang City, with a total length of 3.04 kilometers. Among them, the section constructed by shield tunneling method has a total length of 2.475 kilometers for the left line and 2.494 kilometers for the right line, designed as a double tunnel single track shield tunnel. The starting point of this shield tunneling is the right track of the U-shaped slot section at T2 Station of Jieyang Airport, with a length of 1044.2 meters. It is constructed using a soil pressure/mud water dual-mode shield machine, which is also the first soil pressure/mud water dual-mode shield machine on the entire line. The Guangdong East Intercity Railway Project is an important component of the "One Ring, One Ray" intercity railway network planning in the eastern Guangdong region. The project connects transportation hubs such as Shantou Station, Chaoshan Station, Jieyang Station, and Jieyang Chaoshan Airport. After completion, it is of great significance for building a "30 minute commuting circle" between Shantou, Chaoshan, and Jieyang, and promoting high-quality development in the eastern Guangdong region.
