As one of the parallel forums of the 2025 Zhongguancun Forum Annual Meeting, the 2025 China Science Fiction Conference will be held from March 28th to 31st at Shougang Park in Shijingshan, Beijing. The conference, with the theme of "Science Dreams Create the Future", focuses on the development of the science fiction industry, accelerates the construction of the science fiction industry ecosystem, and fully showcases the construction achievements of the science fiction industry in recent years. The conference insists on strengthening overall planning and resource linkage in terms of specialization, internationalization, cutting-edge, and inclusiveness, highlighting science fiction technology exchange and innovation achievements display, building an important platform for exchange and cooperation among the scientific, cultural, and industrial sectors, promoting important project cooperation and the landing of talents and institutions. At the opening ceremony, a science fiction themed show showcased the infinite possibilities of science fiction and technology, science fiction and life, and science fiction and the future to the audience. The digital person "Illusion" of the science fiction conference flew out of the screen in a flying machine, transformed into a embodied intelligent robot, and walked up to the host of the conference to interact with him warmly. The smooth movements and natural expressions of the robot instantly ignited the atmosphere on site. China's first live film "Blue Star Outside the Window" shot in space was also released at the conference. The film led the audience to experience the Chinese people's space journey and the real inner world of astronauts through immersive space perspective of the Earth (such as aurora, mountains, oceans, etc.), as well as the daily work and life scenes of astronauts at the space station (such as scientific experiments, space fitness, etc.). Besides the opening ceremony, multiple events also attracted a considerable number of spectators. The 2025 Beijing Science Fiction Carnival, held simultaneously, created a sci-fi experience of "fashion+cool play". On site, the venue is filled with both realistic and sci-fi scenes, such as embodied intelligent robots doing push ups, agile walking intelligent robot dogs, "White Emperor" B-type stealth spaceplane models, immersive VR interactive experiences, and playing chess with intelligent robots... allowing the audience to immerse themselves and explore the "future" to their heart's content. Not far away, a dancer danced with a cube in the air under the music. A cube with a height of over one person, without rope traction or track guidance, can freely ascend, descend, and rotate in the air, achieving a visual effect of "zero gravity". Currently, the application of emerging industries such as digital technology and embodied intelligence, as well as future industries, is driving science fiction into reality. This science fiction conference will strengthen its technology organization and focus on the integration and application of technology and culture, creating an immersive exhibition space full of a sense of the future. According to statistics, there are currently nearly 800 science fiction enterprises gathered in Beijing, with an industrial scale of 48 billion yuan by 2024.
