In the middle of spring, at the eastern border, there is a sudden warmth and then a cold. At 6am, the "East Pole Guard Special Line" electric bus departed from Fuyuan City, Heilongjiang Province, and traveled along the newly built border road to the East Pole outpost. This special bus route is over 60 kilometers long and is jointly operated by a border defense brigade of the Northern Theater Command Army and the Fuyuan Municipal Government. It has 8 stations throughout the entire route, covering several border outposts and seasonal duty points. In the past, I had to transfer trains three times when going out, which took more than three hours. With this dedicated line, I can go directly to the city without changing trains, which is much more convenient Lei Hui, a first-class sergeant who has served in the East Pole outpost for 15 years, looked out the window at the familiar scenery and said. The Dongji outpost is located on Heixiazi Island, the easternmost point of the motherland's land map. It is the earliest place for the motherland to welcome the sun and is known as the "number one outpost in the east". When I first arrived on the island to take over the defense, the road conditions were extremely poor, and large machinery and equipment could not be brought to the island. It was the officers and soldiers who shouldered and lifted ropes to transport tons of building materials to the designated location, and fought continuously for more than three months before finally building a simple road. Nowadays, with the development of the local economy and society, the infrastructure on the island is becoming increasingly perfect, water purification equipment has been introduced, and "electronic sentinels" have been installed... "Building this road faces multiple challenges. Not only do we need to solve the technical problems of swamp and wetland construction, but we also need to equip special vehicles that can withstand extreme cold. With the joint efforts of the military and the civilian areas, we have been able to tackle the" hard bones "one by one," Lei Hui said. The military support bus not only serves officers and soldiers, but also serves as a link between the military and civilians in the border areas. It is understood that the route is also open to the public. On the car, one can often see military doctors traveling for medical consultations, military families visiting the outpost, officers and soldiers going out for procurement, and people from nearby villages. They occasionally engage in conversation and exchange, creating a joyful and harmonious atmosphere. This bus line carries a thick water of fish and water. Next to the newly built road under the East Pole outpost tower, officers and soldiers wrote the words "I stand guard for the great motherland, I welcome the sun into the motherland" on a giant rock with red paint. The bus driver honks his horn every time he passes by, paying tribute to the standing sentry on duty on the watchtower. As the vehicle drove past the boundary marker engraved with the bright national emblem, a rising sun just leaped out of the horizon, casting a golden light onto the mountains and rivers of thousands of miles.
