The Chinese National Theatre's play "Spring Dawn at Su Causeway" will be performed in Chengdu starting from March 28th, and a "second live performance" will be added on April 2nd. On March 19th, Tian Qinxin, the president of the National Theatre, introduced in Beijing that the "Second Scene" is an important measure for the National Theatre to implement the national cultural digitization strategy. From "Live Broadcasting of the Founding Ceremony", "Iron Flow Eastward", "Literature and Art in the Anti Japanese War", "Heroic Era" to "Spring Dawn on the Su Causeway" and "Summoned Dunhuang", it has gradually achieved the goal of "dual performance integration" of offline and online broadcasting. Su Di Chun Xiao "is a play co created by the National Theatre and Hangzhou Drama Art Center, telling the life story of Su Dongpo, a literary giant of the Northern Song Dynasty. During his two terms in Hangzhou, he led the people of Hangzhou to dredge West Lake, repair six wells, and create a paradise on earth. Directed by Tian Qinxin and starring Xin Baiqing. In April 2024, during its performance in Beijing, the drama was simultaneously broadcasted in real-time in some theaters, art centers, and other locations in Shanghai, Chengdu, Nanjing, Shenzhen, Hangzhou, and Wuzhen as a "second scene" to compensate for the regret of many viewers who were unable to attend the "first scene". Tian Qinxin said that in the future, the "second scene" of the National Theatre will develop towards "full scene interaction", enhance immersive experience, present a new situation of "art+technology+consumption", and make new contributions to realizing cultural empowerment of economic and social development.
