On March 18th, the 10th anniversary celebration of the establishment of the Hong Kong Guangzhou Association of Societies and the 2025 Guangzhou Guangzhou Spring Tea were held in Hong Kong. More than 700 people attended, including the Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Li Jiachao, officials from the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government of Hong Kong, relevant departments and associations of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, officials from Guangdong Province and Guangzhou City, representatives of Guangzhou based associations, representatives of friendly associations from all walks of life, and important representatives. This event is jointly organized by the Guangzhou Overseas Friendship Association and the Hong Kong Guangzhou Club Association, with the theme of "Ten Years of Unity between Guangzhou and Hong Kong". It reviews the ten-year journey of progress, draws a blueprint for cooperation in the Bay Area, and officially launches the five major actions to serve the 15th National Games. In his speech, Hong Kong Chief Executive Carrie Lam stated that Hong Kong and Guangzhou are closely connected and inseparable. They share the same aspirations in the development of the Greater Bay Area and make synchronized contributions to national development. He emphasized that he is confident that Guangzhou and Hong Kong will continue to exert synergistic effects, work together with a spirit of innovation and creativity, open up new areas of development, and create new situations. Comrades from the Standing Committee of the Guangzhou Municipal Party Committee and the United Front Work Department congratulated the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Guangzhou Association of Societies, affirmed the positive role it has played all along, and hoped to continuously promote high-level exchanges and cooperation between Guangzhou and Hong Kong, as well as deep exchanges and integration among young people in Guangzhou and Hong Kong, around the construction of the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area and the meticulous handling of the National Games, widely publicize and share the achievements and touching stories of the construction of the Greater Bay Area, and work together to promote the stable and far-reaching cause of "One Country, Two Systems". Subsequently, representatives from Guangzhou and Hong Kong jointly launched five major actions to serve the 15th National Games, namely the theme promotion of "Telling the Story of the Bay Area", the cultural exchange of "Passion Ignites Dreams in the National Games", the suggestion of "I Offer a Strategy for the National Games", the interactive experience of "New Vitality in the Cultural Bay Area", and the volunteer service of "Welcoming the National Games with Volunteer Service". It is reported that the five major actions of the 15th National Games under the guidance of the Executive Committee of the 15th National Games and the Special Olympics for the Disabled in Guangzhou, the Hong Kong Guangzhou Federation of Societies, the Macao Guangzhou Federation of Societies, and the Guangzhou Overseas Friendship Association have been launched in Macau to serve the 15th National Games. It is reported that since its establishment in 2015, the Hong Kong Guangzhou Association of Societies has always adhered to the purpose of "loving the country, loving Hong Kong, and loving the hometown", actively leveraging the advantages of the association, gathering patriotic forces, uniting members and fellow villagers, promoting economic and trade cooperation, cultural exchanges, and public welfare development between Guangzhou and Hong Kong, caring for and supporting the learning and growth of young people, and actively helping Hong Kong better integrate into the overall development of the country. In recent years, the waterway passenger route from Nansha Passenger Port to Hong Kong Airport has resumed operations, the new office location of Nansha New Area Hong Kong Service Center has been opened, and the University of Science and Technology of Hong Kong (Guangzhou) has been approved to build 6 key laboratories in Guangzhou. 62 joint science and technology innovation projects between Guangzhou, Hong Kong and Macao have been approved in 15 advantageous disciplines, and the "Five Happiness Plan" 2.0 version has been implemented. More than 2600 Hong Kong and Macao entrepreneurship projects have been landed in 55 bases in the city, attracting nearly 3500 young people from Hong Kong and Macao to innovate and start businesses The exchange and cooperation between Guangzhou and Hong Kong have further deepened. The organizers of the event stated that in the next step, the Hong Kong Guangzhou Association of Societies will continue to promote its excellent traditions, actively connect with the construction of the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area, fully play the role of a bridge and link, unite and lead local residents in Hong Kong and Guangzhou more widely, better promote deep exchanges and integration among young people in Guangzhou and Hong Kong, empower and achieve each other with Guangzhou, a renowned "millennium commercial city" at home and abroad, and drive more Hong Kong compatriots, especially young people, to seize the development opportunities of the Bay Area, better integrate into the overall development of the country, and jointly unite people's hearts and gather strength to promote the high-quality development of the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area.
